Ashoka Lion| New HOA Owner Checklist
Welcome to our Ashoka Lion managed HOA community !
As a new homeowner in a community that is managed by Ashoka Lion (Pronounced "AH-SHOW-CUH Lion") , our goal is to help you transition into your new community as seamlessly as possible. Each homeowner association is governed by its owner rules and bylaws, and these can be unique from one community to the next. Therefore, we encourage homeowners to review community rules or guidelines. A copy of the rules and governing documents can be found in your homeowner portal.
However, moving into a new community is stressful, and we know its not only your homeowner association account that you are worried about, so we have collected some helpful tools to make your transitions easier.
Key things to do when moving into a HOA managed by Ashoka Lion
Setup your utilities prior to moving into the community: Moving into a new neighborhood means setting up water, gas, electricity, cable, internet. Our HOA management teams in Houston and Dallas have setup a partnership to provide homeowners a concierge service to help you research and turn on those services. Best part about this benefit is that it is absolutely FREE ! NOTE: This service is optional and is provided as a courtesy to homeowners.
Forward your Mail (recommended): Forward your mail by notifying USPS services of your change of address and get a head start on updating your voter registration to your new home address. The postal service also provides you access to coupons and savings.
Setup your homeowner portal: Ashoka Lion provides all homeowners a portal to make their payments and obtain copies of key association documents and letters that are available to homeowners. If you do not feel comfortable making payments online, then homeowners can request "Cash Pay card" to be used at local CVS or ACE Check cashing (processing fees can apply) or mail payments to the HOA lockbox bank account.
Enroll in AC filter Delivery to your home (optional): Ashoka Lion HOA management teams in Houston and Dallas have a a AC filter delivery program. Our research indicates that frequent changing of the filter with a high quality filter will keep air cleaner, reduce maintenance cost, but also save homeowners on electricity bills from a dirty system.
