Tenant Exterior Review

Monthly Exterior Inspection Requirement 


Tenants residing in properties with a yard are required to complete a monthly exterior review and submit photos and/or video showing a comprehensive view of the property's exterior.


The purpose of this review is to help identify preventative maintenance needs, potential property damage, and exterior issues so they can be reported and addressed on time.


What Should Be Included? 


Tenants should provide clear photos and/or video of the entire exterior of the property, including the front yard, rear yard, and both side yards when applicable.


The review should include:

  • Exterior of the Home – Walls, windows, doors, and garage door, if applicable
  • Driveway & Walkways – Cracks, damage, standing water, or other visible concerns
  • Landscaping – Trees, bushes, flower beds, grass, and other landscaping
  • Gutters – Visible debris, damage, sagging, or other concerns
  • Fencing – All visible sections of fencing, including gates


Take Multiple Photos or Video Angles 


To provide a comprehensive view, tenants should take photos or video from multiple angles and locations rather than submitting only one or two pictures.


Examples include:

Front of Property

  • Front left
  • Front center
  • Front right


Rear of Property

  • Rear house – left
  • Rear house – center
  • Rear house – right


Rear Fence

  • Rear fence – left
  • Rear fence – center
  • Rear fence – right


Side Yards

  • Left side yard
  • Right side yard


Additional photos or video should be provided when necessary to show the entire property clearly and any areas that may require attention.


Why Is This Important? 


Regular exterior reviews help tenants and Property Management identify potential problems before they become more serious or costly. Early identification of issues such as damaged fencing, clogged gutters, landscaping concerns, exterior damage, or drainage problems can allow preventative maintenance to be addressed more quickly.


Please make sure your photos and/or video are clear, current, and provide a complete view of the property's exterior.


Monthly Submission 


Tenants are required to complete and submit their exterior review each month according to the property's lease and Property Management requirements.
