Ashoka Lion AC filter lease compliance program
Proper air filter maintenance is an important part of protecting your home’s HVAC system. Dirty or clogged air filters can restrict airflow, reduce system efficiency, and contribute to preventable HVAC damage.
The Ashoka Lion AC Filter Lease Compliance Program is designed to help residents maintain their HVAC systems and reduce avoidable maintenance and repair costs.
Tenant Filter Requirements
Residents are responsible for regularly replacing their HVAC air filters as required under their lease and must provide proof of filter replacement when requested.
Residents must:
- Replace the HVAC filter regularly, generally every 30 days, if they are not enrolled in the monthly filter delivery program.
- Provide proof of filter replacement within 10 business days of a request from Ashoka Lion.
- Follow all applicable lease requirements regarding HVAC filter maintenance.
- Keep records or other acceptable proof of filter changes when requested.
Residents who are enrolled in an applicable filter delivery program should follow the program's filter replacement and documentation requirements.
Enrollment in the Tenant Benefits Package
If a resident fails to complete the required filter maintenance or documentation steps outlined in the lease or program requirements, the resident authorizes subsequent enrollment in the Tenant Benefits Package at a cost of $30 per month, if the resident is not already enrolled.
Enrollment is intended to provide additional support for maintaining the property and helping residents stay compliant with applicable maintenance requirements.
