Tenants need to understand that putting down the wrong things in your drain will cause damage to both the pipes and the environment. This damage can be very expensive and create very expensive charges to the tenant's ledger. As property managers, we want to avoid you dealing with these cost, and this is why that we put this page together. 

Things to not put down the drain

This is not a complete list, but things that are meant to absorb water like band aids , flour, etc will cause lots of problems in the drain. This means that you will be responsible for the damages. Here is a list of other items. Do you recognize other things to not put down the drain?  We tried to highlight issues that may affect traditional homes with modern sewage system or a septic system (toilet paper is not recommended in a system like that).
