Named after Henry von Rosenberg who migrated from Switzerland to America in 1843, Rosenberg, Texas is located outside of Houston and has a current population of over 31,000 people and 5,976 families.

History/Interesting Facts
Each May, the city holds the Rosenberg Czech Fest, an event honoring Czech heritage in historic downtown Rosenberg. In October, the Fort Bend County Fair is held in Rosenberg. The event has grown tremendously since first being established in 1933 and now features a livestock show, rodeo, food competitions, and rides and games for the entire family.

Rosenberg is served by the Lamar Consolidated Independent School district. Lamar CISD covers the cities of Richmond, Rosenberg, Kendleton, Simonton, Thompsons, a portion of Sugar Land and other small communities in the area. The district currently has over 20 elementary schools, three middle schools, four junior high schools and four high schools.

Within Rosenberg is the Bud O’Shieles Community Center. The two acre center includes an auditorium, meeting centers, and centers for senior citizens.
