Ashoka Lion Tenant Payment Plan Request and Process

Ashoka Lion offers tenants an opportunity to submit a payment plan as our property management team understand that tenants maybe facing difficult times. The key for our payment plans is to submit them early and to keep us informed of changes. Our property management company is working tirelessly with tenants and owners navigate these difficult times.

Things to remember:

1) Monitor Your Payment Plans and Balances Through Tenant Portal: Monitor payments through your portal: When our property managers approve a plan, we will move  monitor payments for the dates on a approved plan. Our property management staff works to update payments everyday on their tenant ledger, so tenants must monitor the tenant ledger if they are expecting funds from outside sources or an update on where their balances remain.

2) If you are working with outside organization for your rent, please let us know: Please make sure if a outside source is going to be making a payment that our property managers are alerted in the payment plan with a estimated time for the payment to reach us. There is a box on the payment plan for tenant to insert comments, and this is where they should inform our property management staff of these organizations, paperwork required, or any other important information.

3) Do not wait for plan to be approved to make your first payment: It is a good sign when a tenant pays the agreed upon amounts and helps us approve plans.

4) Late Fee can be suspended with approved payment plan: If tenants wait to submit a payment plan, then late fees will accrue to your ledger.

5) If situation changes, let us know and resubmit a payment plan: The key to this process is the tenant keeping the property management company informed of changes in your situation.

6) Tenant must adhere to all compliance rules and programs as a condition of the payment plan: Tenant will be required to confirm renters insurance, updated tenant contact information, and updated pet paperwork audit. In addition, tenant must adhere to tenant self guided inspection request, AC filter proof of change out compliance, and lawn compliance.

7) Approved payment arrangements can make payments via Cash Pay ONLY.

8) Payment plans are limited to three (3) in a 12 month period (period begins with first submission, e.g. if you submitted payment plans in November, December of last year and May of this year, and you are trying to request one in August the August plan may be denied). If you've already had three approved payment plans in the last 12 months any new submission may be denied.
